A big idea, built one step at a time.
Get Go Audio started with an idea: to create an all-in-one music business where musicians, bands and creatives could find a little bit of everything under one roof.
After leaving music college in 2013, I quickly realised there weren’t always enough rehearsal spaces available in Leeds. It got me thinking about what I’d love to see as a musician: a place where people could come together, practise, learn, create and find the equipment they needed to bring their ideas to life.
The vision was always bigger than just one service. I imagined a creative hub offering drum lessons, rehearsal rooms, PA systems and backline equipment for bands and venues, alongside a decent coffee offering and perhaps even a few other independent businesses sharing the same space. Somewhere with music at its heart, but room for all sorts of creativity.
That bigger dream is still there. But every good idea has to start somewhere.

Get Go Audio today is the first step towards making that vision a reality.
With years of drumming experience, knowledge gained from both playing and learning, and experience teaching students, I wanted to start with what I know and what I already have available.
A PA system saved from the days of running a rehearsal room with my old band, a space to practise in, and a genuine passion for helping others develop their musical skills gave me the foundations to get things moving.
Alongside music, I’ve spent years working in hospitality (mainly as a barista), so I like the idea of bringing good coffee and a welcoming atmosphere into a future creative space, I see it as part of the bigger picture. It also means you’ll get a half decent brew while you wait in my garage for your child to learn that drum fill from ‘In The Air Tonight’.
For now, Get Go Audio focuses on two things: friendly, accessible drum tuition and practical audio equipment hire. It’s a simple, affordable way to get the business off the ground, build relationships with local musicians and venues, and grow at a pace that makes sense.
The future is ours to build.
The long-term ambition is to bring all those original ideas together: a place where musicians can rehearse, learn, hire equipment, grab a coffee and connect with other creative people.
But whether Get Go Audio grows into that physical space or it develops in its own unexpected direction, the idea behind it remains the same: making music more accessible, supporting creativity and helping people get their ideas off the ground.
